The OWWA Rebate Program, established under the OWWA Act (Republic Act 10801), recognizes and rewards long-time OFWs. This program is for members who have maintained their membership for 10 years or more without using any agency programs, services, or benefits.
Please note that the OWWA Rebate is only a percentage of your total contributions. It is not a full refund or a cashback of your entire OWWA contribution.


Who is Eligible for the Rebate?
You can claim the OWWA Rebate if you meet the following criteria:
- You have been an OWWA member for 10 years or more as of December 31, 2017 (the cut-off period).
- You have paid at least five membership contributions.
- You or your family have never used any OWWA program or service.
- You are the legal beneficiary of a deceased qualified OFW.

How Much is Can You Get from the Rebate Program?
Depending on the number of your contributions, qualified OFWs can receive an amount ranging from Php 941.25 to Php 13,177.50.

Requirements for Claiming the Rebate
You will need to provide specific documents depending on your current situation. Please prepare the following based on who is claiming the rebate:
If you (the OFW) are claiming personally
You must present one valid government-issued ID. Accepted IDs include your OWWA e-CARD, Passport, Company ID, NBI Clearance, Postal ID, SSS, GSIS, Driver’s License, PRC, Senior Citizen’s ID, or Voter’s ID.
If you are currently abroad
A designated family member in the Philippines can claim the rebate for you. They need to bring:
- An authorization letter from you.
- Proof of their relationship to you.
- One valid ID from you, and one from your authorized representative.
If you have a serious illness
Your representative will need to provide:
- A medical certificate.
- An authorization letter containing your signature or thumbmark.
- Proof of relationship to you.
- One valid ID from you, and one from your authorized representative.
If the OFW has passed away
Legal beneficiaries must provide:
- The OFW’s death certificate.
- Proof of relationship to the OFW.
- One valid ID of the deceased OFW, and one from the authorized representative.
